Follow the instructions below to download and install the 5.0.4/5.5.4 update release. Note: You must be running ExpensAble version 5.0.3/5.5.3 to install this release.

Installation Instructions:

1. View the release notes.
   
2. Download and install the ExpensAble 5.0.4/5.5.4 update. The filename is "UPDATE.EXE" (file size: 2.42MB). Approximate download time is 3.5 minutes with a 56K modem.
3. Save the file to your Program Files\ExpensAble directory.
4. Once the download is complete, exit ExpensAble if it is running.
5. Double-click UPDATE.EXE, or from the Start menu, choose Run..., to begin the update.
6. Once the update is complete, you will have version 5.0.4/5.5.4 of ExpensAble. From the Help menu, choose "About ExpensAble" to verify you have version 5.0.4/5.5.4.
7. Delete "UPDATE.EXE" from the Program Files\ExpensAble directory.

Features:

1. New QuickBooks Guided Setup*
   The QuickBooks Guided Setup provides a step-by-step interview to configure your company's QuickBooks settings. Quickly import or add QuickBooks information into ExpensAble, then export the configuration to other ExpensAble users.
2. New Cost Center Item support*
   ExpensAble's new Cost Center Items feature gives you greater control in specifying the projects, persons or entities that you assign to your business expenses. The Cost Center Items list is a drop-down list you use to complete the Item field during expense entry.
   
   * These features are for ExpensAble version 5.5.4 users only.

Fixes:

1. Enhanced the importing of expense envelopes in the Import ASCII Transactions feature.
2. Corrected the issue when transferring to Excel of the QEX.XLS not lining expense types adjacent to their costs.
3. Corrected the issue of not allowing negative amounts to be entered in amount fields.
4. For ExpensAble.com subscribers: improved the ability to discard Corporate Credit Card transactions imported into ExpensAble.
5. Corrected the issue of a user not being able to choose the OK button from the Import Credit Card dialog box after discarding all imported transactions.
6. For ExpensAble.com subscribers: corrected the issue of ExpensAble desktop users not being able to delete payment methods that no longer exist in ExpensAble.com.
7. For ExpensAble.com subscribers: corrected the issue of transactions submitted to ExpensAble.com not having a blank bill-to field as set by the submitter when the report was created.
8. For ExpensAble.com subscribers: Enhanced the filtering of duplicate Corporate Card transactions when importing into the ExpensAble desktop.
9. Improved the importing of envelope data in a QET file using the Import Ascii Transaction feature.
10. Corrected the issue of a user not being able to change an Envelope status via the Approval Log.
11. For ExpensAble.com subscribers: corrected the issue of ExpensAble not running in the mode specified by the Administrator of a Windows 2000 or XP computer. If the Administrator sets ExpensAble to run as ExpensAble.com enabled, this is now reflected when a user logs into the machine and launches the ExpensAble desktop.
12. Corrected the issue of a user printing 4 copies of an expense report when specifying only 2 copies.
13. Correct the issue of the Currency Genie having gray boxes appear over buttons when using arrow keystrokes.
14. Improved the warning notification when using the Transfer to Excel feature without having Excel installed.
15. For ExpensAble.com subscribers: corrected the issue of ExpensAble displaying a 'Parsing error' message when launching the ExpensAble desktop.
16. Improved the sorting of expense reports in ExpensAble's List view.
17. Corrected the issue of an expense, created AFTER the bill-to field in the Envelope Info window was populated, not being pre-filled with the bill-to information.
